Another of the pirate themed images off the sketch sites. It was originally done in “lavender” and “violet”, so variations in purple. Once converted to gray (as seen here- and more about that in a minute) it lost the separation created between the color changes. Her hat, and corset were done in the darker lavender, while her skin, boots, skirt, and blouse, were done in the violet, which was softer, and leaned to red. The original was a challenge, with all the drapery, lace, ribbons, but had a nice look to it because of the color shifts.
Oh well.
Anyway, here is the rescan. What was lost in the skirt, and sleeves is so frustrating. Is it a perfect scan? No, but it really does get a lot closer to what I drew than what was being seen before.
