As I mentioned before I was using dark blue lead as an under drawing, and I liked the way the Copic markers blurred the line for a softer feel. I thought I might try leads that were closer to the color of the paper to see what looks I could achieve, but they needed to be dark enough to see; so next up was red.
It worked okay, but again the Copic markers didn’t blur the line like they did the blue. Also, as dark as the red was, in the poor lighting of the studio, it was difficult to see against the brown of the craft paper. I’ve enhanced it here a bit, to show the look more.
