The pandemic put a hold on the life drawing sessions, so I can only draw from photos lately. I haven’t had much time for it with all the Beano stuff, but I’m trying to keep my hero comic skills up as well. Here’s a “Swashbucklers” sketch (not that I’m still bitter about not getting to draw the recent revival), and it’s based on a shot of a cosplayer (I think) named Lilly Beatrose. When I was gearing up in the hopes of doing the series I did a ton of searches for any pirate themed cosplay I could find. Anyway, the sketch is slightly different from the photo, but then that’s why it’s called reference.
