You may remember a while back I posted a bunch of Gojira sketches, well those were all auditions to work on a Godzilla comic. Apparently Godzilla Rivals: G v Mothra drops this week, which I only found out about! To whet your appetite, here are a couple of penciled panels from the issue.
I tried to get the details accurate, which wasn’t easy considering it’s set in Japan circa 1984. Searching for references in English turned up very little, and my Japanese is non-existent; but I hope I got most of it correct. I really wanted it to look like a lost film, down to feeling like it’s an actor in a suit. I’m that nerdy.
