I thought the model looked like an old friend of mine, so for the last pose, I went outside my normal, and did a portrait shot. One other thing I did, was to use a blue lead that I’ve been using in my comic art, where I do an under drawing in a lighter blue, then go over it in darker lead to define the drawing more. I tried the non-repro blue, but it was too light. I also have a darker blue lead when I need something a bit easier to see, and that worked well for this. The Copic markers reacted to it oddly, almost enhancing the color, and they blurred the line a little; which gave it a slightly softer feel (hard to see in this small jpeg). I liked the look, and would play with it in the next art session, trying other colors. I’ll let you know how that worked out, in later posts.
