I was going to make a “Shake it”–Taylor Swift reference, but I’m too old to get away with that. Sometimes I like to break the fourth wall, or in this case, just acknowledge it. It’s fun to have the characters act like the panel borders are actually present, or in the way; like here with the water splashing against them.
