I think Tricky’s mom is one of my favorites in Beano. She has so much character, and has become an amalgam of all the moms I’ve known; from mine, to moms of friends, to friends that have become moms. I try to roll all their frustrations into my drawings of Tricky’s mom. If I ever get to write a strip for Tricky, I’ll most likely want to do one about her getting a little pay back. Starching his underwear, super glueing his favorite toy to the sidewalk, or something equally satisfying… well, for the moms anyway.
