This week in the Har-Har strip there’s reference to a laugh box, which is an old joke prop. I had one when I was a little kid, but apparently (despite advances in technology) it’s still made today, the same as it was then. Forget that we have sound chips in greeting cards which last for months on a single battery, and weigh almost nothing. Nope, we still rely on a AA battery powered, plastic record album, housed inside a bulky case… laugh box. Perhaps they just haven’t sold all the old ones yet?
