Back to Barney Bear, there are just some great poses in those shorts, and some sweet facial expressions. The side characters always seem to get their poses pushed the most, like his hunting dog, or the “cousin” bear.
In case anyone ins wondering by now, no, my sketches aren’t always this clean. I’m cutting and pasting the better ones for emphasis. Original pages have a lot of mini doodles, of hands, feet, eyes, but those are pretty dull (and confusing) to look at. This is one set that I spent way too much time cleaning up the poses on, but no, it’s not the norm.
