More love for the style of Chuck Jones. Here are some frames from his Three Bears toon “A Bear for Punishment”, plus a toss away design for a French movie studio security guard from “Past Perfumemance”. I love the expressions he gives the dad bear, and the way Chuck would add little extra details to the eyes, that aren’t based on anything in reality, yet work while not becoming distracting. The guard is just lovely, which in the context of the short, really reflects the art nouveau look of Paris that Noble incorporated into the backgrounds.
