More sketches from Japanese photo books. I’ve mentioned I love working in this blue lead, and it’s not just the color; but I’m sure that’s part of it. The physical nature of it is like butter. It just goes down nicely, on smooth or rough surfaced papers. It looks good on white, gray, and even tan colored pages. I do wish that Uni made it in “sepia”, or better yet, an actual “black”. それが人生?I was playing with the style of dropping out the rendering on specific surfaces, as here on the shirt. Meh, something to try. I think the model looks like Yuuho Kitazawa, lead for (defunct) one of my fave bands, “The Peggies“.
