This is a non-life drawing based on a shot of a cosplayer, but I don’t know the anime reference; sorry. I’ve been re-reading “Creative Illustration” by Andrew Loomis, and he talks about approaches to using photo reference. One point he makes is that just because something is in the shot, doesn’t mean it has to be in your image. Here, the young lady had a button in her hair, and a devil tail, but I left them out. I considered dropping her cowlick as well, but decided to keep it.
